Fire in the Jar
A Fire Cider Making Workshop
Join us for a warm, hands-on evening of chopping, blending and learning as we make a fire cider that is nourishing, warming—and actually tastes good.
Together, we’ll explore the traditional foundations of fire cider and the role each ingredient plays. Our Rebel Moon recipe combines fresh ginger, horseradish, garlic, apple, citrus and warming spices with rosehips, elderberries, hibiscus, calendula and a touch of nettle.
You’ll learn:
- What fire cider is and how it is traditionally used
- How vinegar extracts and preserves herbs and foods
- How to balance heat, acidity and sweetness
- How to customize your cider without ruining the flavour
- How to strain, sweeten, store and use your finished preparation
Each participant will prepare their own 500 mL jar of fire cider to take home and steep.
All ingredients, supplies, recipes and finishing instructions are included.
No previous herbal experience is needed.
Come prepared to chop, taste, learn and spend an evening gathered around the table.
